Name: Anonymous 2006-11-29 1:46

Why did the 1 cross the road?

Name: Anonymous 2006-11-29 3:31

How many 9's does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

0.99999...

A dozen, a gross, and a score,
Plus three times the square root of four,
Divided by seven,
Plus five times eleven,
Is nine squared and not a bit more.

12 + 144 + 20 = 176
176 + 3*sqrt(4) = 182
182 / 7 = 26
26 + 5*11 = 81
81 = 9^2 + 0

It's supposed to be written as a single equation from which the reader is supposed to figure out the limerick, but I went ahead and wrote it out.

12 + 144 + 20 = 176
176 + 3 *sqrt(4) = 179 * 2 = 358
358/7 = a
a + 5*11 = (a+5)*11=11a+55 = (11*358)/7 + 55 ≈ 618 (3 significant figures)
9^2=81

YOU FUCKING FAIL HARD ADMIT YOU ARE A RETARD NOW

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-01 22:49

>>9 176 + 3 *sqrt(4) = 179 * 2 = 358

176 + 3 * 2 = 182

What the fuck are you smoking?

ORDER OF OPERATIONS, DO YOU FUCKING USE IT?

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-02 7:32

Put down your fucking calculator and go learn some basic math.

IM USING THE ENGLISH ORDER OF OPERATIONS, THE SUPERIOR TRUE CORRECT METHOD

Name: Anonymous 2006-12-02 11:42

It would still be 6*10^2 when taking into account significant figures. And these are numbers, not scientific measurements, so it would just be the exact value 4323/7.

Math is universal.

There's only one order of operations.

Go fail somewher else.

Order of operations has nothing to do with math.

Apparently, logic has nothing to do with you.

actually, I hate to do this, but there are multiple ways to notate math operations. Reverse Polish Notation is the other main one. Technically, there are 3 ways (that aren't totally crazy) to notate mathematical operations: Inorder, Preorder, and Postorder, each is really as good as the next.

That being said, he's still a fool for not realizing the math problem was using the notation 90% of the world uses
