Halos are an interesting way of contrasting acceleration and gravity. If you are in an airless wall-less halo in a space suit and you start running against the rotation of the halo you begin to float. The same could be said of earth, since if earth had no air and you could run fast enough you would begin to orbit the earth. However if you ran with the rotation of the halo centripetal acceleration would increase.

Contrast the differences in the time space continuum between you standing on a halo and you standing on the earth.

This is dumb to begin with. The only reason you'd need a ringworld would be for living space. Ignoring the paradox that if you can build a ringworld you're past the point where you'd need one, there's absolutely no reason to have an airless wall-less ringworld.

And if you don't need air or walls to live on your ringworld you don't need a ringworld, either.
