Hi I'm not too sure about this, but I have a theory that zero is a positive number. I'm based on the evidence that 0 is not negative, nor it's written with a "-" sign, therefore it must be positive.

Actually zero is negative.
You see, a number line can't BEGIN with an odd number, that would make it have more odd numbers then even, which we know isn't true. So a number line has to begin with an even number, negative infinity is odd remember (If you don't remember GB2Elementary Algebra). Therefore the start of the negative number line HAS TO BE zero, in other words zero is on the negative number line, it is negative.
