1/0 solved.

1/0=infinity
0/0=i

Any number of 0s fit into 0 and happily make 0, 0 0s, -1 0s, infinite 0s. People like to call this number i.

End of discussion.

The problem is the imaginaries have i so if you just use i you confuse people and hardcore math heads get pissed.

That is the most confused post I have seen about maths of 4chan. That's saying a lot.

No it's not, it's more simple than your mom.
0*5=0
0*-2=0
0*112=0

therefore 0/0=i

can't argue with this

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-02 0:17

ZERO ISNT A NUMBER... BITCH!

o you are premayan ;'(

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-02 2:11

i goes into 0

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-02 2:23

this is retarded

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-02 9:01

this is a calculus problem, that your all trying to solve with algebra. ergo, your all wrong.

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-02 10:18

0 is a number, just not a real number

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-02 10:20

You say pre-mayan as if the Mayans came up with the concept of 0. They didn't, they were inferior and stupid and I'm glad millions died when the spanish came.

Reals ~ Complete Ordered Archimedean Field. Fields require an additive identity. So 0 is a real number. Stop spreading your idiocy.

OP, have you considered submitting a paper to arxiv about this?

General Mathematics = GM = Garbage Machine

So we can treat complex numbers as factors of 0/0? I didn't know, I'll ask my math teacher tomorrow about it.

Don't, he'll laugh in your face.

No question is a stupid question. Go right ahead and laugh, such a query only implies advanced cognitive reasonning skills.

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-11 18:36

Oops haha I meant go right ahead and ask.

That was not a freudian slip.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure 1 / 0 <> infinity.

[1 / 0 = infinity] implies that you'll eventually get to 1 if you keep adding zeroes together.  The number of zeroes added together to make 1 is uncountable, not infinite.

Name: Anonymous 2006-10-12 14:23

yes and no.

Too late :( He said where'd I get that, 0/0 is infinite.

Don't change these.
