Hey guys. Solve for X. First question:

I got x=4 and x=-6/4

/Sci/ is not your math tutor.
Though the roots are x=4 and x=1. Did it in my head, bitch.

Fuck, that's why I shouldn't do math in my head.
Roots are x = (3 +/- sqrt(33)) / 2
You solved 2x^2-5x-12 = 0

Seconded but it's nice to see some serious topics every once in a while even if they are incredibly simple.

you really need brackets.
i read this equation as:
2x^(2-5x-12)=x
in which case i got an answer around .314
but if it's a quadratic:
(2x^2)-5x-12=x
=> (2x^2)-6x-12=0
answer should be [6 +/- sqrt(132)]/4

Apparently you shouldn't be doing maths at all.
