Why do people believe in miracles?

If you believe in miracles, that must mean you beleive in a higher power. A higher power who is obviously helping some people through the workings of these miracles.

But this means that, since the higher power is able to help people, that he just lets hundreds of thousands of people die every year due to natural disasters, famine, war, disease, etc, just because, while favoring those who believe in miracles.

How do Christians and other religious people allow themselves to believe this? The idea that there is a god who readilly helps certain people, while letting thousands of innocents die is insane.

This must mean that followers of religion and believers in miracles are either too dumb to realize this, or that they just flat out do not care, which would probably send them to hell in their religion anyway.

i swear to fucking god. ye thats right GOD!!!!. i am actually sick of every one who ses that people who believe in miracles are idiots, and they r dumb. sort out ure life. why the hell are you on this page if ure not looking at miracles. sort out ure life. seriously why is it so wrong to believe in god and gods creation. its there religion. cum on people. dont they have a right to believe in something to. and i put any money who ever ses that miracles are gay and quirr are sitting at home right now playing cod because they aint got no freinds so they play on a virtual game to meet some french dudw there. can u leave everyone alone. if they wana believe in miracles they can. and who the fuck r u to stop them. i dont believe in miracles but i look up to the poeople that do. because they are the ones that do good in life because they think posititve. im not saying anything to anyone. but im just saying... please... just stop trying to stop them from what their lives are about and what they believe in. so before another person decides on wether to write somthing bad i hope that they read this first and change there mind.
(BTW i have nothng against french people. it was just the first nationality that popped into my head)
