The essential process of thought is first to remember a set of sensations, then to find patterns between them, which are then rememberred. These memories are then examined also and so on increasing in complexity. Even instinctual thought follows this method.
The first steps of a line of thought are called a posteriori thoughts by Kant. Anything composed from a posteriori thoughts, such as mathematical principles or predictions, are called a priori thoughts.
So you see a number of apples on a tree, if you were only capable of a posteriori thought you would be able to recognise apples, but not figure out a way to go up and pick them or to see a need to count them.
All thought is derived from experience, but there is a distinction between a posteriori thoughts based on memories of experiences and a prioti thoughts based on memories of a posteriori thoughts.
Credits of the process of thought goes to me. :3
Credits of the distinction between a posteriori and a priori thought goes to Kant.

Must have missed out he part about how without philosophy your 25 years life expectancy mouth be sucking on a tyrant's dick and you would still believe the sun orbits the earth.

Philosophy in MY SCIENCE BOARD....you better add some physics to that mister!
If not then i will, and besides the above posts have more to do with psychology.

HERE IS YOUR PHYSICS IN THE DEFINITION OF AN APPLIED MOMENT AND HOW IT DIFFERS TO A TORQUE FORCE!...
Torque forces tend to be used more in Mechanics and dynamics, whereas Moment are used more in statics, particularly Civil engineering. A moment is a rotational force that is quantified by the sum of the forces acting perpendicualr to the member multiplied by the length oif the member. The difference between a torque and a moment is that a torque force is more rotational and incorporates usually multi axial twisting, whereas a moment is tradiaitonally more of a "bending" movement. However these are not textbook definitions bexause they technically can be identified as the same thing however in STatics they are called moments and in dynamics they are called Torque's.
Is mathematics a subset of philosophy or is philosophy a subset of mathematics?

Both mathematics and rational philosophy are derived from the dogmas that you need proof to justify believing in things and that 2 things you believe in cannot contradict.
Mathematics is a description of rational philosophy. A look at how logic works will reveal familiar mathematical processes.
The dogmas are basic philosophies. Mathematics is so fundamental it appears that it might be part of the most basic of ideas, however it is derived from pure a priori dogmas.

You are mixing up stupid ass philosophy with legitimate philosophy. Dare I say, all of eastern philosophy and a large portion of western philosophy if bullshit. Only people like Kant and Descartes who had evidence to back up their statements and western political philosophers with simple ideas like "it is wrong to kill people for speaking out against the government" did anything worthwhile.
