If memory serve, when matter and antimatter annihilate each others, they'Re supposed to release energy, but if theorically there is no matter (or antimatter), no "vessel" for this energy to manifest itself, what happens to it? Does it create "pure energy"? Does pure energy even exist? Does it have anything to do witht hat "void energy" which make the universe expand faster? I know it may turn to even a philosophical debate at some point since there's many answers we just don't have, but I love the subject, so please discuss ^_^

At low energies:
Electron + Positron = 2 * Gamma photons
At higher energies, you get bigger particles.
Stop reading whatever you have been btw, it's infecting you.

Well, thanks for the cure, I had never even heard that there was many kinds of photons. Well, I had 2 college physics course, and since I often ask myself questions not answered in books, I get to that kind of ideas sometimes.
Btw, even with that, think there's such a thing as pure energy?

It's like asking if there's a "pure" sheep that isn't merino or churro, etc.
