cellphones+comp. speakers

when my cell is about to receive a call, and it is placed in the vicinity of my speakers, before the actual ringing starts, my speakers start making whack noises like "yo,yo what up my niggle?". My reasoning is as follows: the magnetic component of the electromagnetic waves that send the cellphone its signal are interacting with the magnets in my speakers. yes?

Kind of like that.
My four year old son figured that out a few months ago, so don't feel too proud of it.

That's pretty much it =P

- points to the bottom of the electromagnetic spectrum -

A cellphone is a sophisticated radio, radio waves are at the bottom of the EMS. Our cellphones are emitting electromagnetic radiation! (oh, noes!)

This will explain how positive and negative charges cause your speakers to make sound. As we know, electromagnetic radiation interferes with electronic signals (the reason that an EMP can shut off computers). It's not so much the magnet that is messed up by the EM waves, but the electrical current going to the speakers.

Speakers use so little electricity that something as weak as radio waves can affect it. For devices with a larger and more powerful flow of electricity, more powerful waves are needed.

A better question would be:
Do cellphones really give you head cancer?

Don't change these.
