*stares at you dumbfoundedly* Are you serious? Pretty much everything in nature shows signs of phi (pronounced fee). Like the nautalus, sunflowers, and even spiral universes. Its been used by ancient Egyptians to make tombs, and it is the definition of beauty. When babies are first born, they can tell the difference between someone beautiful, and someone "ugly" because the beautiful one's face shows phi. The "ugly" one dosen't. We still use that to see beauty.

It also happens that phi + 1 - 1 = phi, an undoubted proof of phi's uniqueness
people find phi beautiful because its a commonly occuring ratio that shows up in lots of instances of repetition or symmetry. its a natural ratio for fractals to appear in, thus it is something very simple and innate to us, and so we find it appealing. DUHR.

no fans of e here? e is an amazing number.
e^(iπ) + 1 = 0
and every elementary function, with the exception of polynomials, can be reduced to an expression in terms of exponentials (e^x).
