The dimensions

I wanted to know about dimensions. I know the 3 of space, 4th is time ... what is known about the others?

youre thinking about dimensions the wrong way

What do you mean?

The 8th dimension!

i guess you're wondering about some of the new physics theories that deal with dimensions other than the 3 spacial dimensions we're familiar with.
but most importantly, dimensions are just parameters.  the familiar three are measurements of height, width, depth, time can be consider a dimension because things can exist from a point in time to a point in time, so they have a length of time with particular end points.  any other factor can be considered a dimension.
there are theories like string theory that rely on the existence of several other dimensions, like say, 10.. or 26.. dimensions.  the theory is roughly that we don't perceive the other dimensions because theyre so small, but some things might exist that can vibrate in different ways within the other dimensions and move in our familiar three.  it makes some of the math work for subatomic particles.
theyre not something you could perceive, maybe at some point observable or calculable, but you personally couldnt move through the 5th dimension.  to us they're just variables in equations.

if you're talking about 'other' dimensions other than the classical 3+1, then i'm assuming you mean string theory. This page details everything you need to know:
