Hi, I'm Anonymous and I have this problem with food. (Note: this is not a joke or a copypasta. I'm serious.)
Well, so I eat very few dishes. Just 10, most of them are rare vegetarian dishes I can't find anywhere but at home. Trying anything else outside these 10 dishes makes me want to puke immediately. I just can't eat other stuff, it's not that I dislike them, it's that just trying to force them down almost makes me puke (and I know I'd puke if I keep going). I've been like this since I was a child.
So the problem is my food is not very varied (I have Marguerite pizza almost every night, and varying stuff at lunch), and when I'm out somewhere I have a hard time finding some place with food I can eat.
Anybody experiencing this problem? Any suggestions/treatment/ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Anonymous

Check to see if you have food allergies.

I don't think it's allergy, I've never been allergic to anything and don't experience rashes when tasting other food, just they taste so ugly and foreign and induce retching.

Psychological? Perhaps something happened in your youth to cause you to have an aversion to other types of foods. You can slowly try to introduce different types of foods to your diet. Get some take-out and instead of eating the whole meal, just eat a few spoonfuls. I still wouldn't rule out allergies though since allergies can develop over time. It doesn't hurt to go to a doctor(s).

Eat your own shit. After that you should be able to handle anything.

You probably have built up some sort of intolerance to other foods. This happens to me sometimes as well, I'll eat healthy food for a while then I go out for fast food and x.x
I'll agree with the try moderation and also maybe expand your diet as well while doing this.

Sounds psychological if it really is the taste causing it. The human body hates change, especially quick changes. What are the 10 dishes that you eat? Perhaps you can create dinners that exhibit similar flavors, but also vary a little from the original. If you do that continually and step by step, you should be able to expand your pallete enough to stomach more food types.
I have heard of strict vegetarians becoming sick after eating a food containing meat. This is probably caused mostly by psychological reasons, though perhaps their bodies drasticly slowed down the construction of amino acids to break down proteins. I suppose you could compare it to lactose intolerance (people who are lactose intolerant cannot break down the lactose suger, and what results is usually indigestion and diarrhrea).
Of course, I am neither a doctor nor a psychologist, though I would like to consider myself moderately educated in both fields. I'd advise talking to one of each about your problem, and seeing if they can help.
