how do i start in web design?

hello /prog/
i've decided i want to quit my shit 9-5 job and start getting rich on my own..

i have an idea for a booking website, and it seems it's best i get at the site working myself before outsourcing anything.

problem is i don't know what to learn. i've been putting away webdesign simply because there is too much to learn. html, css, javascript, apache, php, maybe flash.. etc etc

what do i need to learn? where do i start? i only know basic html, C, java, 68hc12 assembly

apache is just a web server
flash is useless
just learn html5 and css
just be careful because html without some kind of template language is a hell
