Hey everyone. First time posting here. I am after pursuing a career in programming and I want to start by learning Java.
What do you reckon it's the best way to go, considering I'm still 2 years away from Uni. Books, tutos, online stuff?
I also want to learn PHP, C++ and MySQL in the future.
Thank you all very much.

Lol @15. Welcome to planet earth, you must be from outer space! Unless your a theoretical genius, java is a hard language to learn if your a(n) absolute beginner. When I say learn the language I mean actually learn it, not just the syntactical side of things. Its very easy to learn and memorize syntax, actually learning how to apply what you know efficiently and effortlessly, is not an easy task for us humans. My underlying point was, ANYONE can learn java and make shitty programs. I simply stated my opinion, which I am entitled too, that if he wants to pursue a career in programming and he has never done anything related to programming before was to start with an easy language.
TL;DR - You're a douchebag. The bad comedy: The better half of you slid down your mothers throat.
