I was asleep and left my laptop on with Firefox running over night when the fan woke me up. My laptop sounded like it was going to explode. Then it shut down and the BIOS displayed a message saying my computer was shut down because it exceeded a certain temperature. Why is Firefox such a piece of shit?

I've noticed a bug in Firefox where if you leave even 1 GIF playing in a background tab it will consume 100% CPU like a fucking idiot. Of course if you bring this up to the developers, they will make fun of you for having more than 5 tabs open, because clearly only weirdos do that.
