Is it worth learning Python as my first proper programming language? Apparently it's the most beginner friendly and lays a good foundation for learning other languages but I thought I'd ask you guys just to make sure. I'm not retarded with computers I just haven't done much coding in the past so any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Don't learn FIOC. Instead you should read SICP JavaScript edition.
