What good is a computer that you can't use in bed or on the toilet? I haven't owned a desktop since 1998.

Pretty damn useful unless you're infirm

Name: Anonymous 2013-09-22 7:39

Not actually more useful than a laptop in any way, though.

Unless you like speed.
Or using several monitors. Or using large monitors.
Or not using a tiny keyboard.
Or having more slots such as USB.
...

Have you ever even looked at a laptop? If you're the type of idiot who wants an additional screen, every non-toy model will let you do that. Same for keyboards and mice.

Large monitors are a red herring anyway; laptop monitors are plenty large, and you sit much closer to the screen with them than you do with desktops. And multiple monitors are just the technologically illiterate enterprise equivalent of workspaces.

Non-programmer detected.

I bet you're one of those morons who thinks the 80-column limit is an anachronism. Tell me, what's you're favourite IDE, scrub?

FIRST YOUR UNDERGRAD GURU
Better be careful /prog/ we got a badass here

Real men don't own computers.
They write machine code using a pen and paper and then type it in after testing it thoroughly by hand.
What kind of scrub are you?

I run my terminal in 132 character mode.

I hope you're not serious

I own a Corsair 400R. It has lots of room for airflow and cable management. The Arc Midi R2 is also good.

Don't change these.
