How did you get into programming?

As for me, I was depressed for a long time and starting coding in Python to kill time, which prevented me from killing myself. I owe a lot to Guido.

I started sucking dicks for money, and realized I needed a way to keep track off all the guy's I was sucking off, so I wrote my own management program in qBASIC.

I did it to prove that a girl can be good at programming too!

I was trying to get Windows 98 to perform a defrag and then shutdown, and I thought I may find a way through this ``programming'' magic. Then I eventually read ESR's ``How To Become A Hacker'' and I was well on my way of becoming an edgy snarking serf of the establishment (i.e. ``hacker'') who knew FIOC. I never really found out how to defrag windows and force it to shutdown. I guess the program could be used from the command-line?
