JavaScript is a kind of cool language but for security reasons you can't do anything cool client side.  So you're stuck rounding corners in it.

Also, the crap people accept as a usable solution in, say, jQueerie makes it look worse than it is.  Also any overlap with CSS is obviously going to be shit: clean blood plus AIDS-infected blood = AIDS-infected blood.

Javascript is honestly uninspired, but useful in certain situations. The idea that people want to develop their vidya gaems and large scale web apps in javascript just boggles the mind, you've got ugly hacks when you try to do ANYTHING. Just my 2-chainz-cents.
