Pointing that inconsistency in expression, if inherent in the language, is zher definition of subjective nitpicking (false sense reality or facts that should just be accepted because zhe can't find justification for). And everyone here is demonstrating the obvious, PHP is purposely built to be inherently faulty, which is not the definition badly designed language, but malware or computer contaminant, specifically a Trojan horse.
