Windows XP is fast(only 6 services enabled with ~30MB working set for the entire OS), stable, user-friendly and can run almost anything. Sound quality is superb, all video codecs work  flawlessly, drivers never crash or introduce artifacts, amount of configuration required for optimal functioning is vastly lower than any lunix. There is no implied "configure it yourself" mentality, it works out of the box. Configuring is optional, easy and user-friendly. Even changing registry is much easier than editing config files, due excellent documentation by microsoft.
Now tell me why should i use lunix? I don't pay for software anyway(winxp is easily pirated) and i don't need to have the sources.

Even your text when viewed as a block looks stupid. I can just imagine the stupid as a bubbling black molasses oozing through the little crevices that the spaces form, right down to the reply box where I write my stupid post to inform you on how stupid you are. I don't even need to read what you wrote, beyond the words that my brain automatically picks up while moving my eyes from your name to the post form. It's stupid. You're stupid. Pure, unadulterated stupid. Infecting everything it touches.

"If you can't make it good, at least make it look good." -Bill Gates, 1994 (that explains XP then)

The smarter way is to write your own OS in optimized machine code and create your own alternatives to everything from scratch. It might take some time, but you can have that smug feeling about your own accomplishments that compensates you for the labor. Why are you using linux?

That was before Windows 95
>It was released on August 24, 1995 by Microsoft
If you want to use such arguments. Linux in 1994 was at v1.00, barely usable.

That shit is unmaintained and is not going to get any security updates.

for nostalgia and aesthetic reasons are there any documentaries about Windows XP?
