No, it wouldn't, it would just be changing the name. You can say ``As x approaches infinity'' or ``As x increases without bound'', but it has the same meaning. And giving up infinitesimals means giving up calculus, which means giving up all of physics since the 1400s. A ``pure'' discrete mathematics is not worth it.
