R⁵RS is a specification of scheme, this is a member of the lisp family, but technically not a lisp. While scheme is cool, it is less productive than lisp. Use scheme for your academic ramblings and lisp for food and your life will be filled with happiness. There is always a third road for the ones who can see it.
