Can SICP help you get hired for a first job?

Also do you think it would be worth of mentioning on a resume -- like a link to all the exercises you completed on github or something? Srs question. I'm about to be in chapter two and have completed all exercises up to this point so I'm not just talking here.

As in, without anything else?  Your resume just shows burger flipping and ``Completed SICP exercises on github.com/muhelegance'' ?  Fuck no. Companies that hire `junior devs' want to see that you can take responsibilities, not just write down what you think are answers to a textbook, especially one for which you can just search on google for the answers because hundreds of other people have done the same thing.

Sure, you might be able to get a job with a resume like that, but that just proves the company really needed a cheap hire and was willing to take on anyone who had ever run gcc -o hello hello.c .
