Have you started with the wikipedia article? It has links to various web pages that deal with this issue.

Responsive web design?
I thought we ditched that for letting the browser/device handle display.
Oh well, I suppose it's nice if you want to charge your clients for what they'll perceive as fancy.
That's not to say it can't be done well- just that often it isn't needed, and is a waste of time/money/skill that's better spent on other aspects of the design or functionality.
It's often just something for the corner-rounders to do in order to feel clever and validate [charging money, themselves].

It's been a while, but I'll dump my bookmarks regardless. Except the best one for how to make money and clients, that's off-limits for goys like you. Generally you can find decent resources using google, take everything with a grain of salt; know that most designers are whiny, precious little beings and as such give shoddy advice with a lot of things, and tend to share lots of useless tips and tutorials.

``main'' sites
http://alistapart.com/topics
http://www.webstyleguide.com/wsg3/index.html
http://www.smashingmagazine.com/ (has tutorialitis)
http://www.webmonkey.com/ **** (tutorialitis)
http://webdesign.tutsplus.com/ (has paywall for many articles and resources)

resource listing (may not have changed in years)
http://www.devlisting.com/
probably boards.4chan.org/gd/ (14 year olds with photoshop giving expert opinions on design, but the links are probably decent)

I'm an autist and need lessons on being creative (stay tuned; currently de-launched after they didn't make a 2nd backup of the server)
http://method.ac/

google fonts
http://www.google.com/fonts
https://developers.google.com/fonts/docs/getting_started

there's also google APIs for all that shit.

COOL FREE COLOURS
https://kuler.adobe.com/
http://0to255.com/
http://www.colorcombos.com/index.html

lè tutorial -try to avoid these as much as possible, unless you have no actual talents whatsoever and need some shitty vector images for your CLOUD-HOSTED RESPONSIVE HTML5 + NODE.JS WEB APPS
http://vectips.com/ (actually quite nice)
http://www.tutorial9.net/
(smashingmagazine, webmonkey and tutsplus, again)
http://qbrushes.net/smoke-brushes/ (very good for artistic background faggotry)

****(TIP: that menu interface is terrible!
See how the sub-menu for web dev & design overflows the button for software and apps?
Shouldn't do that.
Shouldn't leave you with no context for the sub-menu that opens either.
Just goes to show that most designers have little clue what they're talking about in regards to UI/UX. Or generally at all.)

lastly this will be your ``adobe killer'' but it's not launched

have fun and enjoy your biggest problems in life being:
- whether to get a skinny soy latte or the cappuccino
- whether beige does go with turquoise
- not cool enough for /prog/

Why do you even have those in your bookmarks? Please don't tell me you go on Re/g/g/it or Hacker Kikes!

I used to do web design work, and this was before I'd ever even heard of reddit or Hacker News. I probably did occasionally browse /g/, however. Terrible!
It's very un/prog/like though, I'll admit that.
Please assault/insult me for being a former corner rounder.

It's okay, I have a dark past too.
I understand, please don't feel bad.

Thanks for the links, appreciate it!

Maybe Metroid can CSS after all

No worries, good luck.
Don't expect /pragué/ to be a hotbed of HTML/CSS/web design stuff any time soon though, or ever for that matter.

The only ``Response'' I want from your shitty site is a valid HTML document viewable with elinks.
