Visual Studio

So I copied Visual Studio 2012's installation directory over to an external harddrive and want to run it on another computer without having to re-download the setup.
After copying it onto the other computer, it reads 'Cannot find one or more components. Please reinstall the application.' -- Does anyone know how to install it without downloading the entire 1gb setup?

You can't put VS on a drive other than the system drive.
