The US government wants to snoop on their citizen's communication for the stated aim of investigating cyber threats and ensure the security of networks against cyberattacks. RMS is advocating for respect towards the privacy of innocent citizens (US residents are innocent until proven guilty). RMS is advocating for government accountability. This CISPA bill gives the government power without accountability.

What I want to know is how you believe how tools that can protect privacy (pseudononymous BTC transactions) will cause a bigger dent in the value of USD than what the Feds are already causing? It's obvious that the US government doesn't care to repay its obligations to its citizens so you can't tell me that failing to pay taxes will hurt the government. The tax revenue received can only fund the interest due for ursury and not for the principle of the debt. I'm not advocating for tax evasion, I'm questioning why you believe the US government is funded with taxes when they do not care to change their hopeless situation caused by the Fed.

I know that the Chinese do not want to damage its economic relationship with its biggest trading partner as they already hold a significant portion of US government debt and can use it to threaten the US. IMO, if the Chinese started playing games to destabilize the US, that'd be like cutting off its nose to spite its face.
