OpenBSD exists to provide a base for OpenSSL and OpenSSH. Other than that nobody actually uses it.

FreeBSD exists to provide a base for firewall appliances and Mac OS X. Other than that nobody actually uses it.

Despite the name, I don't believe OpenSSL has anything to do with OpenBSD.
