FreePTSD or OpenPTSD

FreeBSD seems very ENTERPRIES to me.

OpenBSD Just Works.

I don't know much about Net- or DragonFly.

OpenBSD exists to provide a base for OpenSSL and OpenSSH. Other than that nobody actually uses it.

FreeBSD exists to provide a base for firewall appliances and Mac OS X. Other than that nobody actually uses it.

Despite the name, I don't believe OpenSSL has anything to do with OpenBSD.

On a related note, however, OpenSMTPD will have its first formal release with OpenBSD 5.3!

are you looking for general information on their diff., or are you trying to pick one for an application? Their sites are pretty documented on their differences, so you do not need us for the general stuff. But I am interested, please provide more info.
