What's with all the freaks?

Hello /prog/, mind telling me what's up with all the weirdo on here? I'm not trying to make a value judgment or anything, but it seems that this board is completely full of nothing but crazed racists, idiotic trolls, complete and total failures, cross-dressers, stalkers, autistic shitposters who defy all posting standards, and worst of all, pedophiles. Surely this can't be representative of the programming community as a whole. Why do such people congregate in this place?

The government's role, like that of every entity, is to perpetuate itself. Its main survival advantage is massive military force and unlimited allegiance of the populace.
