Hey guys who wants to be on a code team?
Coding by yourself is fun, and can get small things done.
But on a team its awesome, people to talk to, every finishes
things like they're nothing, massive projects completed in no
time, and if the project gets well known, then everyone gets
credit, and gets their name out. What is there to lose?
maybe you'll rage at some idiot that could possible get
on the team some how, but thats just lawls. COME ON GUYS!

Ok. I write Symta. What team should I join?
I can also code Self and a little Factor, but point-free is really confusing.

I can code C, FIOC and a bit of Scheme. What do you want to do?
maybe you'll rage at some idiot that could possible get
on the team some how, but thats just lawls.
I think we've found that idiot.

My favs are javascript, html, css, php
but i also know a tad C, python, lua, (and java but i really dislike it) and i take a game maker class
any ideas on what we should make first tho?

Please take a look at yourself in the mirror. Observe every detail of you very carefully. Breathe deeply and start pondering why you're living at this instant.

Your rage is my reason to live, your hatred is my nourishment.
Make a full sexp browser, one that taks all web standard frameworks and refactors them into sexp. Everything would be Scheme. Javascript will get converted (and corrected) to Scheme. Flash will get converted (and corrected) to Scheme. PDF, CSS, XML, HTML, everything, you name it and it will run as Scheme if supported. Making a preprocessor for all that would be enough to warrant a team's work and everyone could make use of their web2.0 enterprise knowledge. Or pick whatever language that everyone can work in, but Scheme should be the most widely known acceptable language around here.
>>14 why scheme, isn't C the most common
I could get the hang out of, but where could we start,
I always forget about lisp/scheme. can scheme handle processes/threads/windows/audio/graphics ? should we start off making the handlers?
>>17
The converting is to assimilate them and ultimately make them useless/a formality (set-mode-XML) and people will eventually skip the middle man and just write in sexps like they should.
>>16
C doesn't exactly meet the standard for what you want high level-wise, and the whole purpose really is provide an alternative to browsers written in sepples that run disgusting lovecraftian security compromising horrors such as javascript, java, and flash (which is a combo that gives people enough rope to hang other people with).
Brin, Zuckerberg, Eich, Guido, Leah, and all the corner rounders of the world will be sucking down parens if I have my way. FIOC would become "that SICP language that nobody uses or learns except when they take 6.001 at MIT." Web2.0 would be known as the dark web ages and people would laugh at the thought of "people actually wrote PHP/Python/JS for serious applications."
≥ But on a team its awesome,
I'm not convinced.
≥ people to talk to,
I'm out.
≥ every finishes things like they're nothing,
Even driven by deadlines and money this doesn't happen!
≥ massive projects completed in no time,
As exemplified by...?
≥ and if the project gets well known, then everyone gets credit, and gets their name out.
A false condition can imply anything.

I don't want neurotypicals to write S-exps. They'd start shitting up our private Internet.

Yes you have, and you're the reason trolling means nothing anymore. You try so hard to fit in that you're trolled even by the lowest of pretending-to-be-retarded trolls/shitposters.

Blatant shitposting on /prog/?
That sounds terrible!

Have Nikita write up the GUI. Yes, in Symta. It'll give him something to do and a place to start and proceed to build from. He's the most capable one here who has the time and would do it, and in the process Iwe would have a ton of LoC of glorious Symta to oogle overlearn Symta from.

I doubt you can sell a half-assed GUI on top of SDL, written in a prototype of languages no one knows or wants, which has SBCL and common lisp knowledge as dependency.
