No, there is not (I asked). I would get relocation costs though.

Well... is it worth it to you? Is the pay good? Will you enjoy the job? Is the job security good? Do you have anything (or anyone) tying you down to your current location?
Perhaps do some research about neighborhoods near the office. I'm sure that not all of Texas is terrible. There must be at least some decent areas... right?
Also, what have you been doing to get job offers? I'm not sure what you've done or how much effort you've put into it, but perhaps that's something to look into. Surely there can be more you can do to get yourself known to employers.

Hmmm... I think I'd rather not be surrounded by a bunch of hicks. I'll keep looking.

Just remember that if you're too picky you'll just remain unemployed.
A job is a job. Unemployment is unemployment.
Reminds me of guys who won't settle for anything less than a supermodel as a girlfriend and wonder why they're single.
Wait? Why is this OP slamming on a tech job in Austin Texas? Most jobs there and the people are nice. You also get to be next to lots of college kids and Professors. I only see Austin as a bunch of perks.
At the least you were not offered a tech job in Taiwan.

Wat? I am so confused. If you do not like people, that is fine, you do not have to hang around them. But what is so bad about the job? I mean, if you get fired, you can pick up another job in a jimmie.
Actually I am getting interested. Why you hating in rich ol' Austin TX?

Yeah, Texas is cool, but Tennessee on the other hand can fuck off, meaning you can fuck off by extension.

From what I have heard, Austin is very different from the rest of Texas. Apparently, it's left-leaning, so you're not going to encounter as many hicks as you probably think. You will encounter college liberals, so have fun with that. Dallas sucks dick.
I had no idea you lot hated Texas so much. It's not a bad place, we even protect our noseless dogs instead of mocking them like you heartless yankees[1]. Part of me feels sad, but the southerner inside me wants to go drink some iced tea, get my gun, and challenge >>1-chan to a duel.

When I went to Mexico, I was disgusted by how all the lolies were in full make up. It was terrible! They would have been so pretty if they weren't covered in that crap.
Also, it wasn't really the 3rd world shithole that I had been lead to believe (but I stayed in the cities in Yucatan).

The worst part of it is that Jewish oligarchy profits on wars in Middle East: corporations supply both USA and Arabs, through Russia, which resells the crap for oil money. Oil price goes up, common Arabs get nothing from it (because all surplus is spent on arms race).
Sucks to be an Arab.

All problems in the Arab world are solved by blowing yourself up. Man up and go buy some C-4 in the name of Allah. Salam alaykum.
