At least give it an honest try, it's never too late to get back on track and live sort of a normal life. My own shrink tells me of middle aged patients who come to her in shambles and months later they lead much more... functioning lives; they become creative again, they find romantic partners, the works.

on a kind of related note, i came up with a(nother?) half useful idea for a program.. ^^ i call it sporked =) aka the Simple PORt Knock detector --all it requires is a full firewall (dropped & allowed packet) log, and some simple analytics =D
