Seriously Problematic Programming Problem

Hi guys, I'm having a problem programming. When ever I go to copypaste code from places like stackoverflow or forums, the formating is all messed up and it looks terrible. Also, the variable names are all different. This isn't too bad when it's simple stuff, but when I have to copy the really nasty things like SQL or CSS, it becomes incredibly difficult to manage all the renamings. Is there some (free) tool out there that I can use to automatically reformat the code and rename the variables for me?
