You can't do direct rendering on Plan 9, so you can forget on doing anything with it that X has also historically sucked at (e.g. graphics acceleration).

That being said, you could probably write a waylandfs that would let you read property files, write control files and mmap in window files for the actual frame data. I doubt anyone would bother to actually use such a thing, though.
