So, Anon, why aint you doing voxel graphics or some scanning techs?

This looks amazing! Despite having no animation, you can still easily do old-school tiled graphics and make a Starcraft-killer or at least a Chess board.

It's as if this capability hasn't been around for 30+ years.

Yes. But voxel tiles would be 3D and of very fine detail. I.e. you can scan real-life stone and use it for a tile.

Old Westwood Games used voxels. Here is how graphics was produced:

Well, a chess board isn't a car.
Also Donkey Kong Country used pre-rendered 3D graphics, but that doesn't make it a 3D game.

Chess pieces are cars and chess board has 3d texture.

that is fucking realtime! but i doubt they can do animation.

They haven't shown any video that has animation, they've all been videos of static models and environments.

Q: is it possible to capture a whole animation in 3d?
A: Yes this is possible, you need expensive cameras and pc equipment though.

Those are round during combat. When you're in combat things slow down hugely and the action is tracked in detail at the resolution of rounds. You don't use combat rounds for just wandering around, looking at things, and talking to people.

Don't change these.
