Android Tablet Programming

So I've never owned an Android device and never used Linux stuff at all.
I'm very proficient with C++/Java and somewhat proficient with C#, Python and Objective-C. All done on Windows or Mac.

From googling briefly I've heard Android incorporates their own version of Java which is close enough to Oracle's stuff that their were a bunch of patent lawsuits.

I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who already has experience with Android programming, especially if you were able to do it without learning a mountain of Linux stuff.

Favorite IDEs or tools for making code for an android also welcome!

Java is shit, Android is shit and most IDEs are bloated shit.

But you're welcome to use Eclipse and that Android SDK plugin. You could also abandon ENTERPRISEland and join us at the Yearly Satori Convention here in Lispland.

By the way, drop the tripcode, you look gay when you use one.
You heard me, Cudder.
