i took a look at quake's source written in C, no classes in there. no oop, nothing but works fast as fuck. so we don't need oop nor c++,  c is enough alone right ?

You are just beginning the path to satori.
You are right that both oop and c++ are useless, but eventually you will find out that c is just undefined shit.
Keep investigating and keep your analytical mind in tune.

OOP isn't a way to be fast, OP-sansama.
OOP is a way of allowing all the average programmers to cooperatively be average together to create large average programs.
OOP is also a brilliant buzzword for managers and shareholders.
OOP is a way of being average.
OOP is for killing your mind.
OOP is for paperwork, endless diagrams, meetings and ultimately death.
OOP is also for wasting time to increase financial gain.
You are better than that, OP-kun.
Imagine if game developers worked without c++ and OOP, but instead used satori strike teams.

There are two pills, OP. The world is two statements, eval and apply. Don't loop, recurse. Recurse and you'll be EXPERT PROGRAMMER[sub]EXPERT PROGRAMMER[sub]EXPERT PROGRAMMER[sub]EXPERT PROGRAMMER[sub]EXPERT PROGRAMMER[sub]EXPERT PROGRAMMER[sub]EXPERT PROGRAMMER[/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub][/sub]
