i heard this is a great place for students to get insightful and patient answers about programming from veterans who want to give the torch of knowledge to the next generation? I´m coding now for ca. a year and have somewhat a clue what the benefits are for ceaping stuff private

but im pretty sure that i still miss alot points. Can u give me a short resume why its important to ceaping things private?
It's not, since no body gives a shit about you and what ever you're doing. Most normal people who do not read /prog/ does things you'd never have the guts to do, some even proudly let everyone know it too, like walk a gay parade or marrying your own sister, or letting all your work friends know you pie in PET bottles to not disturb the neighbors, yet nobody gives a shit about that. It's like a big fucking "oh..." to them, because they're deep into shit way worse than that. It's nothing to them.
So, from that point of view you better keep your shit as private or they'll just belittle you.
The only reason you should be concerned is if you're doing criminal things, then you better make sure you're tight.
