I'm sorry, but your post only makes it more clear that you need to check your privilege. It wasn't too long ago that interacting inappropriately with whites did carry threats to your life, or just being a minority for that matter. When you are dealing with discrimination on this scale, survival is more important. It has nothing to do with associations with past experience, and everything to do with how race ties into power.
