I disagree. Those people will always come back later. While the necrospam does clear the front page with better threads, it also makes continuous asynchronous discussion impossible, and hence /prog/ itself is temporarily unavailable. That's fine if you have other things you can do instead of browsing /prog/, but it negatively affects those that don't have social contact outside of the internet, and don't use or like other forums.
