How do you read on a computer?

Name: Anonymous 2012-12-27 23:04

Do you use fancy fonts and EXPERT fontconfig settings? Programming I can understand because it's just monospaced fonts on a regular console or whatever, but how do people read textbooks and fiction and message boards?

I just use a fancy serif font for things like IM and /prog/, but I use a monospaced font with my terminal for stuff like mail and programming.

this is why I hate that everyone uses pdf as the default readable file format. which chm you can adjust font size to your liking, with pdf you can only zoom the overall size of the page

i usually read in browser unless i cannot find that book in plain text and forced to read it in a shitty format like pdf, chm or something like that

Enjoy your lack of software documentation and your inability to run non-treacherous open-source software on your device.

I love how good PostScript or PDFs look, but they're supposed to be a print format. Consistency is nice, but I'd also like to adjust the text how I want (and view it in a text terminal).
