There are no fads amongst weeaboos. To grow bored of some aspect of otaku culture would imply that it was ever interesting in the first place. Japan--from its one-dimensional and completely fantastical history, primitive artwork and architecture, non-existant music and literature, and pre-WW2 little man complex to its modern obsession with the A-bomb, cuteness, and sexual depravity--is and always was inherently uninteresting. Therefore, it attracts uninteresting people. The ``otaku'' who feels so out of place in western culture, because he identifies with the bland and the boring, to whom animation--a form of entertainment created to placate feeble child minds--is the only thing he understands as an ``art form''.
So weeaboos will never bore of Touhou. It's perfect for them: dozens upon dozens of characters and absolutely no character development whatsoever. The most two-dimensional world you can think of, perfect for the one-dimension mind.
