Notice how he changed unix to gnu/unix and called haskell "autistic".

You're trying very hard to fit in, but you still have problems with BBCode syntax. You will learn, don't worry.

You're trying very hard to fit in
No. I've been on /prog/ way too long, and most of the good posters have left, that's my problem.
but you still have problems with BBCode syntax.
I fucked up placing the bracket on the last one. No big deal, just missing the overline; I got the effect I wanted, mostly.
You will learn, don't worry.
How can I learn that which I already know? I've long since reached SATORI and visited Sussman on the astral plane.

He's totally an oldfag. This guy has been writing the same few memes every day for 8 years now! He never got bored of them!

I totally believe this and I am impressed.
Because I never saw newcomers trying to affirm their belonging to a community by naively parroting the old retired jokes and aggressively attempting to reinforce what they believe are the rules.

Why? I'm bored, and somebody has to enforce order around here. My posting of these ``memes'' isn't to impress anyone. I really don't give a fuck if you're impressed or not.
High meme density does not qualify you as an oldfag.
No, but time does (not that it's something to pride oneself in, or boast about. That's imageboardtardery). And I've been here on and off long enough to know that you're part of the fairly new group of posters that have come on here during the past 18-24 months.
oldfag
Back to the imageboards, please.

Sarcastic bullshitting aside, /prog/'s memes aren't really that old. I don't even believe ``Read SICP'' is that old (and I'm not going to bother re-installing /prog/scrape to really confirm that).
I totally believe this and I am impressed.Because I never saw newcomers trying to affirm their belonging to a community by naively parroting the old retired jokes and aggressively attempting to reinforce what they believe are the rules.
Because you're in that mindset that's been propounded into your thinking from years of being on the imageboards, that you automatically assume that when someone is posting suggesting what people should do in regards to their behavior, that it's meme posting to ``impress'' people of how long they've been on the board, rather than what it really is: a vain attempt at trying to maintain order and coherence.oldfag

You sure like to post the word "faggot" at every opportunity. Are you projecting your sexual insecurity onto me? It's okay, you'll get over it when you make up with your boyfriend.

OP here.
I have been browsing /g/ lately but I have been browsing /prog/ for a longer while. I didn't do the wikipedia trolling myself as >>3 suggests. That's business with .NET.

I'm on vacation and have a lot of time to waste so I've been editing Wikipedia. I looked at some old edit logs and found the RMS troll on the Unix page.

On a tangent, I have checked the Wikipedia pages for two different subjects that I know very well and it either were full of misinformation. This has led me to believe that anything that doesn't have proper citations is anecdotal at best. The big popular subjects like e.g. "Windows XP" or "Linux" have the best pages.
