They are recursively defined in mathematics. Plus his computation uses approximations of irrational numbers so the solution isn't precise. Irrational numbers are infinite and thus unreal and Jewish, you can't show me an irrational number.

The factorial function can be expressed as a functional equation. The gamma function is one solution of that equation. You're not ``breaking'' the recursive definition when you use the gamma function.
But yeah, the approximations are shit. Numerical methods are shit and FPUs are shit too. Fuck you physics of silicon.

Well, >>12 certainly wasn't going to do it. Just look at him! He's an idiot!

This article is borderline trollbait that starts out implying a lack of math in lisp, then proceeds to showcase some bit of pen and paper classical analysis that could be written in anything and ends with saying programmers in general need more math education. The fact that math of a non-analysis nature (graph theory) is used fairly often in non-trivial programming whether the programmer even knows it or not isn't really mentioned here.

Thank you, I have a mild self-diagnosed attention deficit disorder, and I really can't read that whole wall of text unless it's: i) a technical manual of some sort or ii) fiction

speaking of irritational numbers, is it possible for conventional computers to ignore them completely?
