I have a testimonal to give, interested in hacking I checked an obscure mailing list for zero exploits for weeks, until I found something I understood. A really simple hack just needing a scanner to find vulnerable targets (oh yes, just by OS version), and a WebBrowser with the right query, and it would spit out an unshadowed passwd file. Must have been on a 486 at that time but it took days to bruteforce passwords. Anyway, I hit big time with the first password I tried, it was a server for holding chat meetings for a massive illegal corporate conglomerate of organisations, to fix prices. I mean every corp. I knew of was there. Most of I didn't understand, I knew it was fucked up but I got fucked myself in about a week of time and I got busted.
