Sup /prog/, took me a while to find you guys [^_^]. I just got out of prison after a three years (still on parole for another two ;________;). Please update me on the state of programming these days, anything I might have missed, and on 4chawn in general please.

Everyone has moved on to Ruby and JavaScript. Programming in any ``low level'' programming language without a license became illegal under the Protecting Children from Internet Pornographers Act of 2011.

/prog/ (note the spoiler) has janitors now. They get a cut of the 4chan Pass profits for every post they delete (moot says it keeps bandwidth down), and even more if they can find a reason to ban you. Watch your back.

x86 is dead. All chips are now ARM cores. Windows has been fully ported, and Linux was already able to run natively - the only downside is that PC gaming is now completely dead. The aggressive tactics of console manufacturers means that nobody's coding for anything but the PS4/Wii U.
Keyboards are rarely used outside of an administrative environment. Almost all work is now done on touchscreens.
Firefox OS is the dominant mobile OS, and it has led us to a new golden age of open computing. Android, after a serious of legal battles, is now dead - and Apple have more or less dropped OS X for iOS.
Kind of a shame about the console thing, but games are for children.

No I was not raped. They were looking at me like they wanted to rape me, so I shit in my pants and sat in it. Even the guards didn't come near me. I actually feel like I missed a part of the prison experience, and I sometimes fantasize about being raped by my cell mate (he was a child molester; he said that my boyish body was very sexy).
