Thumb is shit anyway, no access to the NEON SIMD unit until you thunk into long mode.

Thumb isn't really needed on the 14nm-20nm nodes--the power savings over the 28-45nm nodes with thumb are already far better, and getting rid of the thumb decoder frees up space for more useful shit.
