Programming game

Ages ago (circa 2005) there was a game of some sort. It was played through the browser. It wasnt a game like you would think of, it was something involving programming. It was an IDE. I would swear it was Java or something really anal about formatting but I cannot for the life of me remember what it was. I know its very vague of a description but thats all I remember for sure. Oh, there was a leader board of some sort. I cannot remember the objective of the game though.

I figure someone here might know.

You never played it, OP?

I saw it, thought it was interesting, tried to play it, got spammed with errors and whatnot, failed. So I sort of played it.

Honestly, in 2005 I was still in school. I wasnt really in any communities.

This is also some kind of programming game: http://thesiteformerlyknownas.zachtronicsindustries.com/?p=726 but not really an IDE.

I don't know.

Wow, that makes me think, where the hell DID I see it... All I can think of right now is some sort of online (might not be multiplayer) game with a black screen and strict formatting, sort of like java but I guess it could be anything.

Robocode looks fun and I may even use it in my class. Thanks for your help noble Anon. feel free to post any games you think might fit, I have to go.

It would be cool, if the game involved designing an AI for Starcraft. Preferably in Lisp and with only input being the screen snapshots and output - mouse-clicks.
