How to learn Visual Basic?

First of all, yes I do know VB is shit, but at my school, its mandatory to use it, so I have to learn it...even if I want to learn other languages. So I have to ask, what is best way to learn it? What books should I look up, or maybe some internet courses, maybe even videos that would explain it best. Thanks for help.

C# is pretty good. I've worked with C# using command-line compilers and nunit-console, and was very comfortable to work with.

In general, C# feels like a improved Java. And if you work only in Microsoft platforms, then C# is ideal.
