you wouldn't be able to verify your work history when looking for future employment. Although you could use a strong cryptographic hash to prove your attachment to the pseudonym.

Use a hash with your full name (or other identifiable string) and some secret text only you know. hash("J. Random Autist|Enterprise /prog/rammer")
Now if you want to prove your attachment to the project, you simply reveal the string.
